World Wide Knit in Public Day! or, Guerilla Knitting in Delaware, Ohio

I've been neglecting my blog, but it's not because I'm lazy!

June 13th was World Wide Knit in Public Day, and the Beehive Bookstore in Delaware, Ohio hosted our get together.

The day started off at 11:30am with me knitting by my lonesome, but I was soon joined by Vicki, then around 1:30 the rest of the crew started coming in! It was a lovely day, not too hot, nice breeze, and we sat at the cafe tables outside. Vicki and I took the opportunity to place some "tags" around town, too!

I vacationed in Vermont, and amongst the beautiful scenery of Tinmouth Mountain, I left a small token of affection!!

Update on Guerilla Knitting 1: my first tag in the city of Delaware is now gone, so sad!

Guerilla Knitting!!

There is a trend started by people much more talented than I, to tag in a friendly way with pieces of knitted art...so I have jumped on the bandwagon and started tagging in my own town!

This is my first tag: a little knitted piece, that I attached by the dark of night to a little tree on the sidewalk in front of our local independent bookstore! My daughter snapped the photos while I tied the tails. We think some guys in the upstairs apartment across the street saw us, but as of yesterday it was still there!

I totally forgot my little cards to attach, but I'm working on another piece, so I'll use them next time!
