Fabric for Knitters

I got this super cute Michael Miller fabric online.... too cute!! Great fabrics for knitters and sewers...and the skull and scissors fabric totally matches my tattoo!!

The Turquoise fabric is called "quilt pirates"

The Chocolate brown and pink fabric is called "Knitmare on Elm Street"

The Black and Lime Green fabric is called "That's Sew Wrong"

Somebody out there has a wicked sense of humor! I think I'll quilt the fabric and make up some tote bags and zippered accessory pouches!

Mother and Daughter Tattoos!!

I wrote before of my daughter's first tattoo. She got it in April, a Pueblo Owl design in honor of her spirit animal. Well, yesterday I got one to match!! This way I always have her with me. Ana's tattoo is on her right ankle, and mine is on my right arm, tucked into my tribal celtic tattoo.

New Tattoos, new projects!

Over the weekend my lovely daughter got her very first tattoo! It is a pueblo american rendition of an owl, which is her spirit animal. She is going to start college in the fall, in the archaeology program. Several summers ago, she went to an archaeological field school in Colorado, where they got to dig in actual ancient pueblo sites, and work in the lab with artifacts, and it was then that she found her spirit animal. In support, I will get the same ink myself, as soon as I have the $$

At the museum, we are finally dismantling the 3 shows we've had up since February, and are prepping things for the Senior Fine Art Majors exhibit, which opens in 2 weeks. In the meantime, the director and myself are travelling to Chicago for the Spring Board Meeting of the museum. Aforementioned daughter and I are driving, as well as my parents in their own car, and we're going to make a mini-vacation of it, visiting the Frank Lloyd Wright houses, and in general shopping and sight-seeing!

My new Crafty Tattoo!

After another 2 hours in the chair (with short smoke breaks in between, of
course) Don of Argus Tattoo has finished my latest ink, a gorgeous design that
incorporates my love for working in Fiber, with big pointy scissors! Also, it
nods to my love of skulls, my greek heritage, and the fact that if it surprises
people, it's got to be good!
Do you notice the open wound in the lower left corner? There is a needle
and thread stitching me up!!
